Academics
Delta Zeta always strives to excel academically, not only individually, but as a whole. Our Academics Chair works with any sister who needs help with their schoolwork; from registering for classes, to studying for tests, to buying used books from other sisters. She provides study tips, test reminders, mentors, tutors, and unconditional support to anyone who needs it. Every Member and New Member attends study hall hours each week to sustain the sorority's required 2.7 G.P.A or above.
Social
Delta Zetas not only work hard, but they play hard too. Our sisters make bonds within our sorority, and also form strong relationships with all of our campus' Greek Life. From sisterhoods, to formals, or just going out, ΔZs always have something fun going on! Some of our favorite social events include: powderpuff football, Greek Week, and Homecoming Week. If you ever need a sister to go to lunch with, hit the library, or go shopping--another sister is only a phone call away!
Philanthropy
Delta Zeta's philanthropic mission is to help the speech and hearing impaired. Throughout the years, many of our sisters engage in various volunteer activities and charities such as; donating blood, canned food drives, walking dogs at the shelter, and Operation Christmas Child. Each spring we have a huge 5K walk/run event on campus called the "Turtle Trot," in which we donate $1,000 to a local speech or hearing impaired person in the community. An additional portion of the money raised also goes to the Starkey Hearing Foundation.
